I’m Natasha Senkovich, and I want to thank you for joining me for the very first episode of Adventures in Spirit and Entrepreneurship podcast. I will be interviewing inspiring entrepreneurs and amazing spiritual teachers – or simply spiritual entrepreneurs – two days a week! Each interview will tell the journey of the spiritual entrepreneur, and also, more specifically, delve deeper into the concept of the mindset shift, or the internal changes that need to take place before outer success is possible. There will also be some practical action steps given that can be applied right away!
For the launch, I will release 3 episodes at once, and then 1 episode daily for the next 5 consecutive days. After that, we will continue the podcast, as promised, 2 days a week.
I have amazing interviews prepared for you! I have had the pleasure of talking with Russ Whitney, a mega-millionaire real estate mogul and best-selling author – turned spiritual coach after a personal and professional breakdown. He reveals his amazing journey and how he now teaches others to find peace, happiness, and true success.
I also had an inspiring conversation with Nikida Vaughn, a charming young lady who left her comfortable career as a pharmacist to follow her bliss of theme park hopping and blogging about her experiences. She found the courage to go for her dream after a life-altering conversation with a friend.
Those and many more fascinating conversations await you here at Adventures in Spirit and Entrepreneurship:) Sound interesting? Keep listening and I will tell you a bit about the host, myself, Natasha Senkovich.
I have been a belly dancer for more than 15 years, and I also dabbled in acting. As an artist, one has to become a bit entrepreneurial to get ahead, so I learned early on that I needed to promote and market myself. Of course, I also had to work part time jobs to help make ends meet, and I can tell you that I found working for other people very tedious and depressing.
I kept having the nagging feeling that I could do something more with my life, and, hungering for more experiences, I took a trip to Egypt with a guided tour. That is when I had the idea to make a documentary about the lives of Egyptian belly dancers, women who were at once celebrated and stigmatized in Egyptian society. Making this project was an educational and profound experience for me. After 2 years of hard work, I found a distributor, the producer and talent manager Miles Copleland, who famously managed legendary bands such as The Police and later, Sting. He helped my documentary to be seen worldwide. I had my first taste of success! My confidence and belief in myself soared!
Feeling pretty unstoppable, I soon invested in a new project, an instructional dvd series with famous Egyptian dancers, and also bought a condominium. Several years later, my real estate purchase ended in foreclosure and I barely broke even on my new project. I knew I was messing up, but kept trying to recover by jumping into new projects and kept digging myself deeper in debt. At one point, I had to admit to myself that I had no idea what I was doing, and had the worst money mindset ever! I also did not do much preparation for my projects – I simply believed that my passion was enough to guarantee success.
For the last several years, I have been studying with coaches, joining various entrepreneurial groups in order to increase my knowledge and understanding of business and effective online marketing. I realized how my self-esteem issues and mood swings contributed to my chaotic way of going about my projects. I felt like a person who finally cleaned up a dirty window and could begin to see clearly through. It dawned on me that starting a business was really a fast track to personal growth. This whole process fascinated me and I knew that there are amazing people out there with tremendous insight and experience who I wanted to talk to. Sooo, I decided to start this podcast. I love that I can share this information and that all of us can be on this journey of self-discovery together:-)
